I have loved art my entire life...
I have loved art my entire life and was encouraged to draw and paint by my high school art teacher, Mrs. H. Hammond. My inspiration has come from God's beautiful earth, as shown in my main subject matters of landscapes, water scenes, seascapes and flowers. My painting mediums are oils, acrylics, watercolors and mixed media. Mainly a self-taught artist, I have take nworkshops from internationally known and local artists, namely, Margaret Hobyack, Dirk Walker, Donny Finley, Bill Cleere, Bettye Howell and Carol Weston.

I have been an exhibitor in galleries and many juried art shows. My work has been featured in the Birmingham-Hoover Sketchbook with the pen and watercolor drawing of "The Donnelly House". I also won a special merit award in Alabama Flora & Fauna Show for my acrylic painting, "Cahaba Lily Duo", and a First Place Award in Wildlife Art for the painting, "Koi Means Love", at the Homewood Small Arts Show.
My art affiliations: Hoover/Shelby Art Association, Mountain Brook Art Association, Vestavia Hills Art Association, National League of American Pen Women in Art, Birmingham Branch, and The Watercolor Sociaety of Alabama (Associate Member).
Art has been a blessing in my life and I hope to have many more years of this wonderful activity and I'm thankful for the friends I have met during this time.
