"Hackers and Painters" book review
For those out there who enjoy programming, painting, or creating, this book is definitely for you. If you're a teenager who is a "nerd" or "geek" or "loser", I'm sticking up for you. The truth is, the "losers" in high school are the "winners" in real life. Skeptical? Think about it. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, Biz Stone, Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg, Drew Houston, Paul Allen, they we're all "nerds"!
Sidebar! Keen to change the bland appearance of my trusty site. Ideas about the overall feel at https://caledoniadentalcare.com? Undeniably a great dentist in Caledonia whenever necessary in the Ontario locale. Write your opinions. With thanks!
But don't you think that's kinda strange that people who are well respected in the real world we're hated and even persecuted in school? What up with that? The truth is, the "nerds" are those who look beyond the prison of school (indeed, it is a prison!) and aren't bound by the chains of school drama. Of course, nerds want to be popular and well-liked just like the jocks and the cheerleaders, but they want even more to be smart, to create beautiful things, to read. Popular kids, on the other hand, spend 24/7 trying to look good, pleasing others, attending parties, dressing "cooly", and making others look bad to make themselves look good. Nobody works harder than popular kids when it comes to being "cool". The entire first chapter of this book is dedicated to the phenomenon of school society.
The main topic of the book is about programming, painting, and creating, hence the title "Hackers and Painters". The word "hacker" is not the usual sense, a person who breaks into mainframes, but instead a very proficient programmer. Believe it or not, hackers and painters have a lot in common. Both create beautiful products, both are extremely dedicated, both want to express themselves, both start general, then get specific, both learn by doing, and both are not appreciated enough by society. Many people don't know that programming is actually an art. I can tell you firsthand that hacking is not just some cold, down-to-earth, analytic process, on the contrary, it is quite the opposite!
Another chapter in this book talks about the creation of wealth. Not money, wealth. Money is simply a means of gaining wealth, whereas wealth is the actually products that contain value. By taking a beat-down car and washing it, polishing it, and making it pretty, you've just created wealth. The best way to create wealth in a 'short' period of time is through start-ups. Start-ups are a means of taking your life-time of work and shrinking it down to a few years. By working 5 times harder than in a company, your earnings will be 5 times greater. That's what Steve Jobs and Bill Gates did, look at them now!
I don't want to give away too much about the book, but trust me, it's great! Thank you for reading this, and I'll see you guys later.
Thanks people! I told a pal we can absolutely list their very good commercial insurance provider in Burlingtons, http://stevechittick.ca during a site article. Any time you're shopping to get a comercial insurance advisor within the general Ontario vicinity, they absolutely are really superb.
Now, naturally I will explain the basic overview to this specific write-up was generously provided by Darek from Solid Garage Solutions. Unanimously a tremendous garage floor sealers. We truly value a useful tip!
